Rebecca Stone, CFP®, GS, UCS, is Balentine’s Operations Manager, Multi-Family Office. In this role, she ensures the efficient delivery of services to meet the unique needs of multi-family office clients, including overseeing day-to-day operations and streamlining processes. Rebecca has nearly 20 years of experience in the financial industry. Most recently, she was a Vice President at Morgan Stanley. Rebecca earned both a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration from Kennesaw State University. Rebecca is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® and holds Series 7 and Series 66 certifications.

Q&A

How and why did you get into this business?

I got into this business by accident. In college, I worked as a bank teller and really enjoyed helping people with their finances. As a teller, your interactions with people are limited and short. A friend had gotten a job as a client service associate with an investment firm, and it sounded like the next logical step in my career. It would allow me more time to develop relationships and interact with clients in a more meaningful way.

Why did you choose to come to work at Balentine?

I chose to come to Balentine for the opportunity to grow in my career. Most of my career has been spent at large wire houses. Their career paths are very narrow and offer limited growth. I feel Balentine’s entrepreneurial spirit offers a great opportunity to grow and expand my horizons in ways that the traditional business model of a large corporation does not. I am very excited to write the next chapter of my career at Balentine!

What inspires you to come to work each day?

The people I work with and for inspire me to come to work each day. I look forward to contributing in some small or large way to shaping the lives of those around me. I believe God brings people together for a reason. My desire is to contribute in a loving and meaningful way to those who are put in my path.

If you weren't in this business, what would you be doing?

If I wasn’t in this business, I’d be a teacher. I love sharing my knowledge and insight to help people learn and grow.

What do you like to do in your down time away from work?

In my downtime, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. My family includes 2 Great Dane fur-babies named Ozzie and Cowboy. They receive most of my attention when I’m not at work.
