Martina Chisholm is Head of Marketing at Balentine. In this role, she leads the firm’s marketing strategy, brand narrative, and communications across all channels and audiences. She partners closely with leadership and client-facing teams to ensure each client interaction reflects Balentine’s values, rigor, and commitment to exceptional service.
Bringing more than 15 years of marketing leadership experience in wealth management and financial services, Martina possesses deep expertise across brand strategy, content, digital marketing, PR, events, and business development. At Balentine, she draws on that breadth to strengthen the firm’s brand presence, sharpen its storytelling, and forge an integrated marketing infrastructure that supports both client retention and growth.
Before joining Balentine, Martina served as Vice President of Marketing at Merit Financial Advisors and held senior marketing roles at Regions and Truist. Her experience with RIAs gives her a nuanced understanding of what it takes to market a high-trust, relationship-driven firm with excellence and consistency.
Martina holds a B.A. in International Marketing and International Business from the University of South Alabama and an MBA from the University of Maryland.

If you were abandoned on a deserted island, what single creature comfort would you desire most?
My dog Zeus. He is the sweetest giant puppy, always by my side.
What is your favorite sport or activity? Why?
I played volleyball in college, it definitely has a special place in my heart. I enjoy all kinds of sports: soccer, golf, tennis.
What is the most exotic place you have ever been?
Either Zimbabwe or South Africa, both beautiful countries, very unique and special.
How and why did you get into this business?
Marketing was never just a career choice for me, it was a calling. Every role I've held has been rooted in the world of high-net-worth clients, where the stakes are high and the storytelling has to be exceptional. What I love most is that marketing demands everything from you — the creative spark and the analytical mind, the big vision and the precise execution. No two days are the same, and that is exactly how I like it. To me, marketing is one big, beautiful puzzle, and there is nothing more satisfying than working every single piece until it all comes together into something that truly moves the needle.
What was your best business decision?
The best decision I have ever made had nothing to do with business. At 18, I packed my bags, said goodbye to my family, and moved 6,000 miles to the United States — armed with little more than a volleyball and a sense of adventure. What started as a college athletic journey became the foundation of everything I hold dear: my citizenship, my career, and the family and life I have built here.
