Maggie began her career with Balentine in 2021. Prior to that, she spent more than ten years at BB&T, most recently as a Wealth Advisor.

An active member of the community, Maggie was selected to participate in the Philanthropic Advisors Leadership Institute, a leadership development and networking program where financial professionals learn how to better incorporate charitable planning into their practice.

How and why did you get into this business?

I have a true passion for developing deep and meaningful relationships with clients, to help them realize their dreams and full potential financially. After college, I was fortunate to be accepted into the BB&T Leadership Development Program, which kickstarted a decade-long career in banking and wealth management. Within the banking world, I quickly became a Wealth Advisor, and I have loved serving clients in that capacity ever since.

What inspires you to come to work each day?

Our clients! At Balentine, I am honored and humbled by the impact we have on our clients’ lives. This motivates me every day, and I do not take the opportunity for granted.

What do you like to do in your time away from work?

My husband and I are parents to a baby girl, and we love it! We enjoy taking our daughter on adventures to all our favorite places, and spending time with our broader family. Personally, I have been a tennis player my whole life, and I enjoy getting out on the court when I am able!

What is the most exotic place you have ever been?

My father-in-law is from Panama. We love to visit and explore parts of the country off the beaten path, with his family members who live there – trying new activities, eating new foods, and experiencing the culture!

Why did you choose to come work at Balentine?

The people and the culture. As a new member of the Relationship Management team, it is a privilege to join a group of genuine professionals who truly collaborate to serve clients, free of conflicts or competition.
