How and why did you get into this business?
I’ve always looked for ways to complement the deeply analytical side of my brain with my passion for building new relationships. Starting as an analyst before moving into a client-facing role has allowed me to realize that the work that matters most happens at the intersection of thoughtful analysis and real human trust. Financial decisions are among the most consequential people make, and being someone a client genuinely relies on is a real honor.
Why did you choose to come to work at Balentine?
Balentine’s approach to clients and culture drew me in. Balentine has a deep set of values, and the ones that resonated most with me — a growth mindset, generous listening and curiosity, giving back to the community — showed up in every person I met during the hiring process. In wealth management, holistic advice is easy to claim and harder to deliver. Balentine’s commitment to both the intellectual and human dimensions of the work is what convinced me this was the right place to continue my career.
What do you like to do in your down time away from work?
I love to host — dinners, game nights, or any excuse to bring people together and share a meal. I am always looking for an excuse to try something new in the kitchen. I’ve also gotten back into reading recently which feels like a genuine luxury. I play tennis, and I also have a true appreciation for anyone who can make me laugh.
What is your favorite sport or activity? Why?
Tennis. I grew up with two older brothers, so I’ve always had a competitive side. You can only control what you’re doing on your side of the net, which is a lesson that often applies off the court too. In terms of watching sports, I’m a huge college football fan and try to attend as many Georgia games as I can.
What are the big issues that Balentine and companies like it need to solve to truly benefit the parties they serve?
One of the most significant challenges facing Balentine and firms like it is the great wealth transfer — an estimated $124 trillion shifting to younger generations over the coming decades. The next generation of clients has different expectations, and earning their trust will require meeting them where they are, which isn’t necessarily where the industry has always operated from. Firms that invest in connecting with the next generation will be the ones that endure. Being early in my own career, I believe I am uniquely positioned to support that work, and it’s something I’m genuinely excited to bring to Balentine.
