Adrian Chastain, CFE, SCMP™ is Head of Operations at Balentine, where she oversees the firm's back-office and middle-office functions, enterprise technology, and client service. She partners with senior leadership to align operational infrastructure with firm strategy and is passionate about scaling systems and workflows that power a white-glove client experience and sustainable growth.
Adrian brings more than 25 years of operations leadership experience in wealth management and financial services to Balentine. She excels at bringing clarity to complexity and rallying the right people around the right priorities. Her ability to implement strategic solutions has driven business performance across organizations big and small.
Before joining Balentine, Adrian served as Director of Referral Channels at Focus Partners Wealth. Prior to that, she led firm-wide operations and compliance functions as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at Gratus Capital and served as Head of Client Operations Management for North America GDS at Invesco.
Adrian graduated with a BA in Economics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She is a Certified Fraud Examiner and a Certified Strategic Change Management Professional. Outside of her role at Balentine, she is active in the Daughters of the American Revolution and various veterans' programs.

What inspires you to come to work each day?
What inspires me is the impact our work has on the clients we serve. When our systems, processes, and teams operate well, it allows relationship managers and client service teams to focus fully on guiding clients through meaningful financial decisions. I enjoy being part of that foundation - helping improve how we work so we can consistently deliver a thoughtful and reliable client experience.
How does the work you do make a difference?
The work I do helps ensure the operational infrastructure behind our client service model runs smoothly. By refining processes, improving collaboration across teams, and helping our systems work more effectively, I help remove friction that may hinder the team and ultimately the client experience.
What is it that you do at Balentine that gives you the most personal satisfaction?
As a leader, it is fulfilling to serve my fellow teammates in a capacity of clarifying complexity, aligning people and priorities, and leading coordinated execution to deliver meaningful, high-impact results.
What is your favorite sport or activity? Why?
Boxing is my favorite sport. Not only is it a great full body workout and stress reliever, but it's a mental discipline that builds strength, resilience, and character.
Who were your heroes growing up and how did that influence your life and career?
My dad has always been my hero. A Vietnam War veteran, he embodied courage, discipline, and leadership-never a follower, always a man who stood firm in his values. He was a hard worker, protective of his family, and known by everyone who met him as fair, honest, and a man of his word. At 6'4", he carried a quiet strength that commanded respect the moment he entered a room. Even in his toughest fight, he showed the same courage he lived by every day. He battled colon cancer with remarkable strength before losing that battle in November 2003 at the young age of 55. His legacy of integrity, resilience, and leadership continues to shape the person I strive to be.
