What was the hardest lesson learned, and how did you learn it?
Make time for the people and things that you love. During my studies for the CFA exams, it was easy to let some relationships and interests fall to the wayside, only to find that they would never be the same afterward. Time Management is key, and when you work hard you can’t forget to make time to enjoy yourself and spend time with those that support you.
What inspires you to come into work every day?
The opportunity to learn and apply myself. I am always looking for new challenges and creative ways to solve problems.
If you weren’t in this business, what would you be doing?
Professional Answer: Before going to college, I always wanted to be a lawyer, and I still think about how that might have turned out at times.
Less Professional Answer: Something artistic. Growing up, I played three at least 4 instruments, loved to sing, and was able to draw very well. I still wish I had stuck to drawing, but still make music at times as an artistic outlet.
