Pensions & Investments named Balentine one of its 2017 “Best Places to Work in Money Management,” placing third among firms with 20 to 49 employees. This is the fourth time that Balentine has been recognized on this annual list.

Employees surveyed by P&I cited Balentine's familial culture and emphasis on community service as reasons why it is one of the best places to work in the industry.

Presented by Pensions & Investments, the global news source for money management, this sixth-annual survey and recognition program is dedicated to identifying and recognizing the best employers in the money management industry.

“All of the firms being recognized this year are leaders when it comes to creating a great place to work,” said P&I Editor Amy Resnick. “It was great to see reflected in the survey comments about how significant it is for employees to feel valued by their employer. It shows what really makes a company a best place to work.”

Pensions & Investments partnered with Best Companies Group, an independent research firm specializing in identifying great places to work, to conduct a two-part survey of employers and their employees.

The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies.
