How does your role fit in the big picture of serving clients?
My goal is to educate clients through the content we create. I hope that in times of distress our message reassures them.
What do you think makes Balentine different from other wealth management organizations?
The emphasis on education for both employees and clients. Our industry has made itself complicated by jargon, acronyms, and too much technical speak. As Director of Communications, one of my jobs is to wade through the complications and help create content that clients can digest.
What inspires you to come to work each day?
The feeling that I’m making a difference in the lives of our clients and in the reputation of our industry. Seeing the world catch onto ideas that we at Balentine have been talking and writing about for the past seven years is very rewarding.
Who were your heroes growing up and how did they influence your life and career?
My father, Louis Lee. He is the hardest worker I have ever met, will do anything for his family, and loves the land. His quiet generosity and servant’s heart are qualities I try to emulate.
