Why did you choose to come to work at Balentine?
I could tell immediately after meeting the team that this would be a great place to work. I agree philosophically with Balentine’s investment platform and with the conflict-free model.
What was the hardest lesson learned and how did you learn it?
I did a sloppy and incomplete job of pulling a neighbor’s weeds when I was 10. He called my mom and made me come back the next day to finish the job. I learned to follow through on my commitments or else suffer the consequences!
What inspires you to come to work each day?
I am inspired by knowing that the work I do will have a tangible, positive impact on this company.
What is the most exotic place you have ever been?
I have hiked to the top of a mountain peak called Montserrat near Barcelona in Spain.
If you weren’t in this business, what would you be doing?
I would have tried to be an engineer since I’ve always enjoyed figuring out how things work.
What didn’t we ask that we should have asked to really know you?
On a scale of 1-10, how awesome is your Australian Shepherd, Gumbeau? 10
